Together We Can Make A Difference
To supply vitamins to as many Guatemalan children as possible.
As we all know, food costs have risen dramatically every where including the communities in the Lake Atitlan area of Guatemala. In the past it had been estimated that roughly 50% of the population in Guatemala suffered from malnutrition. Today I hate to even think about how high that percentage may go with these prices still on the rise and the scarcity of corn in recent months. The poverty rates are even higher.  Many live on only $1.00-$2.00 a day.
Many thanks to Mayan Families and the local women's groups for handling the distribution of the vitamins in the Lake Atitlan area.
